Vendor Selection

Building a successful business intelligence or data warehouse environment is not dependent on making a significant investment in new software. Our view is that if you’re able to define the business requirements effectively, and model the data to address those requirements and the quality of the data is good, then it’s less relevant what software platform you actually use. As such we always aim to leverage the existing software investment organisations have made as it’s more cost effective.

However there are times when an organisation doesn’t have an existing solution. We’re a strategic partner with all of the large business intelligence and data warehouse vendors including IBM, SAP, Oracle, Informatica, Microstrategy and Microsoft. We’re trained and certified on their platforms but we’re not resellers, which means we can offer independent advice on the most appropriate solution for your needs.

We have a unique software selection methodology called Fuse, which leverages our ability to understand the business requirements of end users, and turn that into selection criteria. We’re then able to manage the selection process on behalf of our clients, reducing their time, and ensuring they get the best solution. Recent examples include GPET and BPAY.
