Business Intelligence

The key to maximising your investment in information management is the adoption of a Business Intelligence layer throughout the organisation. Altis helps you to implement a reporting capability that provides you with insights on key business metrics to facilitate fast decision-making. Altis focuses on the user experience and change management components of a BI implementation as these will ultimately determine end user adoption and satisfaction.

Data Management

Rubbish in, means rubbish out. Data quality is critical to ensure that your business intelligence solution is presenting accurate information. To do this, you need a Data Management plan that dictates who and how people access the data, including data governance strategies, data quality and best practices for large data migrations.

Data Warehouse

The Data Warehouse provides the foundation for business intelligence by providing access to the appropriate data in a way that’s easy to understand. Information Management Strategy starts with understanding the broader business objectives and success criteria, which we do through a process of interviews with stakeholders from the broader business, rather than in isolation within IT. We use that information to develop a long-term vision and delivery roadmap, with clear deliverables that allow you to track and measure success.

Planning and Architecture

Our planning service includes project definition and business case development, for example, working with multiple departments within one organisation to complete a detailed documentation of their project approval process. We also design the overall solution framework, which organisations use as the blueprint for their development team.

A common service Altis provides in this area is vendor selections. Many organisations have a software solution selected or in place, however some need assistance in identifying which is best for their present and future needs. We have a unique Software Selection Methodology that leverages our ability to understand the business requirements of end users and select the most appropriate software solution on behalf of our clients.

Solution Delivery

Altis is actively involved in Solution Delivery engagements where we deliver or support the build and development of data warehouse, data management and business intelligence projects. Our consultants have skills and experiences across partner solutions including IBM, Oracle, SAP, Informatica and Microsoft to deliver the appropriate solution for your needs.

In addition we leverage our Project Delivery Framework, which is based on best practice methodologies and over 13 years experience in delivering successful information management projects. Managed Services

Some organisations don’t want the hassle or responsibility of managing an internal team capable of maintaining and upgrading their information management solution, and appropriate documentation and knowledge transfer. We’re able to provide both offsite and onsite Managed Services for those organisations that would prefer to outsource this component.

Allowing you to mix and match

Most clients want us to manage the full suite of services from strategy, planning and architecture through to solution delivery and managed services. However there are instances where we’re only engaged for specific aspects, for example, the front-end requirements of strategy and design, or they’ve already designed the solution and they need us to manage the build and development.
