The first few weeks in Division 6 Five Dock league were quite interesting, some HUGE defeats, massive tortures and of course some extremely comical moments considering half the team hadn’t played indoor cricket or cricket for that matter.
10 weeks later, after being mocked and sledged by fellow consultants we got our first ever win of the season. What we didn’t know was it was a beginning of something very special….7 weeks later, we had won 5 out of 6 games, formed a bond, synergy and team spirit that was getting impossible to beat.
We stormed in to the Elimination Semi Final and played a memorable game to beat the previously unbeaten team in the competition…only to be pipped in the preliminary final by another team.
We came 3rd in the competition out of 7 teams…. and considering we were at the bottom for the first 8 weeks, it was a miraculous recovery!
A memorable season, we are back again next season with some new young guns, perhaps we will go a step further this season to bring the trophy to Altis!
