On Sunday 12th August Altis once again took part in City2Surf – the annual fun-run from Sydney’s CBD to Bondi beach.
On a sunny and warm winter’s day 67,000 runners started from Hyde Park in the centre of Sydney to run or walk the 14km route taking in Kings Cross, Rushcutters Bay, Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and Dover Heights before finally reaching the golden sands of Bondi.

Participating for Altis were Andrew, Charlie, Chris, Alok, Siddhesh, Elizabeth, Emilio, Derek, Mythili, Sook and Daniel. The team had been on a stringent fitness regime prior to the race having given up beer, cigarettes and fried food for at least 2 hours. Andrew was the 2007 Altis champion completing the course in a very respectable 69 minutes.
Natalie, James, Jenita and Dan valiantly sacrificed the opportunity to run 14kms in 25 degree heat to ensure the runners were fed-and-watered on their arrival at the finish. The whole team were resplendent in their grey t-shirts – Jenita responsible for the winning design for the second year in a row.
Well done to everyone for completing the race!
